We see many geckos around our casa in the evening when they are most active. 
They are especially attracted to our deck lights where they pounce on one insect after another. They are a big consumer of mosquitoes and small bugs so we choose not to spray and be rid of them.
They range in size from about three inches in length to about 6 inches. They have large heads with bulging eyes and a long tail. During the day they quietly hang out behind the paintings on our walls.
They lay eggs, which are soft when laid, but harden very quickly. They are white and about the size of a large pea. We know this because earlier this year Bruce took our ice dispenser apart because it wasn’t working and found it clogged with gecko eggs. A short time later the door bell wouldn’t work so he took it apart, and guess what? It was also clogged with eggs.
We love the little chirping sound they make at night.
It sounds like they are smacking their lips together for a big kiss and maybe they are.
